Online Auction – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Lisburn Auto Salvage online auction platform and the purchase of vehicles through our auctions. By registering and placing bids, users agree to comply with these terms.
1. Registration
1.1 All users must be registered to participate in the online auction.
1.2 Registration requires:
1.3 Each registration permits one buyer only.
1.4 Lisburn Auto Salvage reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any registration at its discretion.
2. Bidding and Auction Process
2.1 All bids placed during the auction are considered binding.
2.2 Once the auction closes, the highest bid is final and constitutes a legally binding purchase agreement.
2.3 A commission of 2.5% plus VAT will be applied to all successful bids.
2.4 All prices listed and payable are in Pound Sterling (£).
3. Payment
3.1 Vehicles must be paid for in full within 3 working days of the auction ending.
3.2 Accepted payment methods:

Cash in office
3.3 Card payments will not be accepted over the phone.
3.4 Euros and cheques are not accepted.
4. Collection and Storage
4.1 Vehicles must be removed from the premises within 3 working days of the auction ending.
4.2 Buyers may arrange their own transport or request delivery through Lisburn Auto Salvage where available.
4.3 Vehicles remaining on site after 3 working days will incur a storage charge of £20 per day plus VAT.
4.4 Any vehicle not removed within 14 days of the auction ending may be re-auctioned, and the buyer’s account may be suspended or closed.
5. Vehicle Viewing
5.1 Vehicles may be viewed during office hours without appointment.
5.2 Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect vehicles prior to bidding.
6. Vehicle Information and Condition
6.1 Buyers are responsible for checking damage reports, mileage, and overall condition before bidding.
6.2 All vehicle descriptions, damage reports, and information provided by Lisburn Auto Salvage are for guidance only.
6.3 Lisburn Auto Salvage accepts no responsibility for misprints, omissions, or errors in vehicle descriptions.
6.4 Mileage stated will reflect the mileage displayed on the vehicle at the point of sale.
6.5 Damage descriptions are provided as a general guide only, and additional damage may be present.
7. Vehicle Categories and Records
7.1 Vehicle categories such as CAT S or CAT N are listed based on information supplied by insurance companies.
7.2 Lisburn Auto Salvage accepts no responsibility for errors in categorisation provided by third parties.
7.3 Buyers are advised to conduct their own HPI or equivalent vehicle history check prior to purchase.
7.4 Vehicles may have previously been involved in insurance claims. It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify all vehicle history before bidding.
7.5 Non-category salvage vehicles may not appear on HPI as an insurance write-off. Lisburn Auto Salvage Ltd accepts no responsibility for information held by third-party companies.
8. Documentation (V5)
8.1 V5 registration documents will be provided where available.
8.2 Availability of V5 documentation will be clearly stated within the vehicle description.
8.3 If a V5 is not available, the buyer is responsible for applying for a replacement within 5 days of the sale to update DVLA records.
9. Keys
9.1 Keys will be supplied as stated in the vehicle listing.
9.2 Occasionally spare keys may be received after the auction. Where this occurs, they will be forwarded to the buyer.
9.3 Lisburn Auto Salvage cannot guarantee that additional keys will be received after the auction.
10. Contacting Previous Owners
10.1 Buyers must not attempt to contact previous owners or keepers of vehicles purchased through Lisburn Auto Salvage.
10.2 Doing so will be considered a breach of these terms and may result in the buyer’s account being suspended or terminated.
11. Vehicle Operation
11.1 Descriptions such as “starts and drives” reflect the vehicle condition at the time the auction listing is created and typically refer to the vehicle starting and driving for loading purposes only.
11.2 Lisburn Auto Salvage recommends that all vehicles undergo a new MOT test before being driven on public roads.
